A Funny Thing Happened on the Way from the Courthouse Little did my husband and I know when we picked up our marriage license at the Marietta Square Court House it would spark not only our life together but a creative new business too! As my husband often tells the story, I was so excited to see our marriage license in writing that I was beside myself with excitement and proudly said “let’s hang it on the wall!” Hubby, a Creative Director/Art Director with around 100 awards to his name (including numerous Clio’s), said, “you gotta be kidding!” The black and white piece of paper was not the pretty document he was expecting. He envisioned a more romantic certificate that could be hung in the home as a symbol of love. Over the last year this heart-inspired notion grew into the Gallery of Love – our new Atlanta co.

Who says Love and Business Don’t Mix?
Well, when you have newlyweds, one of whom is a former South Eastern Sr. VP Creative Director of the world’s largest advertising agency, the other a Television Station Special Projects Coordinator, creative sparks are bound to fly. My husband, Saatchi & Saatchi’s noted “creative genius,” developed the concepts and designs, then commissioned a renowned Atlanta artist to create a series of hand-painted original oils for our collection of designer marriage certificates. The artist created, brush stroke by brush stroke, each of the works of art for this series of prints. It is our hope that couples that have one of these certificates on their wall – their own personalized piece of art – will be as happy as we are and be renewed, rekindled and reminded of their wedding day each time they see their certificate.

A Business Built on Love
It was worth the wait of 30 years to meet and marry the caring, romantic husband that I only wished could exist for me. Though 24 years separate us in age we couldn’t be closer in heart, spirit, creativity, joy and humor. We didn’t know it when we met that it has been both of our dream to operate a business with a loving partner.

Our newlywed collaboration is a collection of (12”x16”) masterpiece certificates reflecting the great artistic movements from the romance of a Renoir-inspired oil to the elegance of Art Deco, Art Nouveau and the Victorian era to a fun Pop Art "Pledge of Love." The wedding designer documents are delicately finished with personalized script that includes the details of a couples wedding day. Deluxe Baroque frames complete the look.
